On 03-02-2024, we at Rifah CCI had the privilege of hosting a dynamic and insightful Business Masterclass event centred around the theme “How to Solve Business Challenges in a Competitive World.”
Led by Dr. Abrar Ali Saiyed, a PhD from IIM-Ahmedabad and currently an Assistant Professor at Ozyegin University, Istanbul, Turkey. This masterclass was a beacon of knowledge and practical strategies for business owners aiming to thrive in today’s fast-paced environment.

During the event, participants, including Rifah members and other registered guests, were presented with a compelling Case Study two days prior. This real-world scenario served as the focal point for our discussions and problem-solving endeavours throughout the masterclass.

Key insights emerged from our collaborative exploration of the case study. Dr. Abrar Ali Saiyed illuminated the fact that every business challenge presents itself with visible consequences, often misinterpreted as the core issue.

Through the example of a business experiencing low sales, we learned to look beyond surface-level concerns like product visibility and marketing efforts.

In dissecting the root cause, our masterclass participants identified two pivotal issues: a problem in the Distribution Channel and a lower product price from the target audience expectations. These revelations underscored the importance of diving deep into problem identification to implement effective solutions.

Dr. Abrar Ali Saiyed’s guidance was instrumental in navigating the process of identifying genuine business challenges and formulating actionable solutions. Moreover, he emphasized the need to anticipate and address the implications of each proposed solution comprehensively.
