A Global Experience at Vyapar Utsav 2023: Entrepreneurs from Across India and Beyond Flock to Kalaburgi’s Central Mall!

On 15th Jan, the curtains closed on Vyapar Utsav 2023, marking the end of an extraordinary event that spanned across all floors of Central Mall in the heart of Kalaburgi, Karnataka. From entrepreneurs across India to commercial attaches from Turkey, the Utsav presented an unforgettable opportunity for the people of Kalaburagi to explore exclusive products from around the world.

The stalls featured various items, from casual women’s clothing to elegant dresses, spices, dry fruits, tea, coffee, leather bags, books and perfumes, to health and wellness products. Among the exhibitors were the Turkey-based stall Enayah, the Afghanistan-based Dry Fruits booth, and Kashmir Organics, featuring exotic Dry Fruits from India’s most beautiful place.
Vyapar Utsav 2023 was indeed a one-of-a-kind event, allowing visitors to explore products from all over the world right in the heart of Kalaburgi, Karnataka.

The Vyapar Utsav was a spectacular event that brought together an Indo-Russian Cultural exchange program featuring Russian artists and artistic competitions throughout the 4-day event. It was a sight to behold with over 300 stalls available and the Central mall filled to almost 75% capacity! Seeing the kids’ faces light up with joy when they received awards for their artistic paintings was heartwarming. It reminded me of my childhood experiences, competing at the school level and feeling the same pleasure of receiving recognition for my work. It was a memorable event and a great success for its first edition.

The RCCI – Network Chapter Meeting featuring “Mysore Sultans” was held in the conference hall. Entrepreneurs were invited to see how business referrals could be passed and how to market their business through the power of Networking.
A total of Rs.6 Crore business was generated by Mysore Sultans last year, and Rs.6 lakhs of business done since the past biweekly meeting on 7th Jan . Formation of such Networking chapters pan India would serve not only to give and get business but also to track the results and improvise business revenue.

The response from entrepreneurs was overwhelmingly positive. Syed Zubair from Mysuru, a member of the RCCI Rifah Network Chapter’ Mysore Sultans’, saw his dream of providing dealerships to people from many districts come true. It is only the beginning of the success stories to come post-event.

The event also featured insightful talks from business experts. Mrs Vaishali Hariharan, a representative of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), delivered a presentation on the export process and opportunities. Mr Usama Khan of Sahulat Microfinance Society presented on ‘Interest-Free Microfinance for Small Businesses’. Mr Mujeeb Khan and Mr Mohammed Kaleemuddin of Rehbar Financial Services spoke on ‘Alternative Options of Business Finance’. Ms Nahid Anjum of Franchise Expert also spoke on ‘Women Empowerment’. The event also featured enlightening talks by Mr Syed Mumtaz Mansoori, Rug-Rel Components & Systems Pvt Ltd CEO and Karnataka State President RCCI. Trade delegates from 15 Indian states attended the event, making it a truly unique experience.

All in all, RCCI’s first-of-its-kind initiative to benefit entrepreneurs and the nation was a huge success. With many entrepreneurs suggesting that such events be conducted nationwide, it is clear that this inaugural event was a great trendsetter and can be further improved upon with a few tweaks.
